Chris McLennan is a commercial travel photographer, videographer and certified drone pilot who hails from New Zealand’s South Island and runs photo tours all around the world.

Chris grew up around adventure sports and spent the early part of his photography career working mainly in the ski industry. This soon evolved into tourism promotional photography for tourism authorities and operators around the globe.

Since becoming a full-time pro photographer in 1988, Chris has worked in over 60 countries during a career that has spanned 30-plus years.

Chris has won numerous international photography awards throughout his career. Among his many honours, Chris is a Nikon Ambassador and Rab Equipment Ambassador.

Chris organizes and hosts photography expeditions in many exciting locations such as Alaska in Winter for the Northern Lights, dog sledding and Arctic landscapes, Alaska during Summer for grizzly bears, Botswana wildlife safaris, Mongolia for its vast array of wildlife and nomadic eagle hunters, the many cultures of Papua New Guinea and chartering a private ice breaker in Svalbard to photograph polar bears.
