Led by award winning photographer and Nikon Ambassador Chris McLennan, this immersive Alaska photography expedition blends exploration with hands on mentorship in one of the world’s most powerful landscapes. Photographers of all levels will learn to master light, composition and creative vision while shooting remote frozen wilderness.

  • 1 March - Arrival, private transfers, equipment preparation and expedition briefing

  • 2 - 3 March -  Extended travel north through Alaska’s winter interior; remote lodge and camp stays with first aurora sighting opportunities.

  • 4 - 5 March -  Exploration of Arctic terrain with opportunities for wildlife encounters and Northern Lights photography

  • 6 March -  Journey south; transition to a private cabin base in a historic Alaskan town

  • 7 March - Witness the ceremonial restart of Alaska’s iconic long-distance dog sled race

  • 8 March - Scenic flight to a remote checkpoint; exclusive access to race activity

  • 9 March - Guided snowmachine exploration through pristine backcountry

  • 10 March - Private dog mushing experience and curated winter activities

  • 11 March - Departure arrangements and onward travel
